I’ve been on a hair craze these few days experimenting with all sorts of ways I can do my hair. But if there’s one hair style for women that I haven’t tried, it’s ringlets. If my hair takes ages to curl, I dont really want to be thinking how long it takes to do ringlets. Thus, I can’t help but admire Taylor Swift’s hair.

When it comes to a hair style like that, I can’t think of one artist that carries off that particular hair style better than singer Taylor Swift. In fact, curls are her signature hair style. Think Taylor Swift and the first thing that defines her is her cute curls. So when it comes to women’s hair styles, the last thing you’d think of is Taylor Swift with straight hair.

But here she is in a magazine feature, spotted with long straight hair. She also sported long sleek locks at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville back in June 2010. I cant say I really like how she looks in long hair because I’m so used to seeing her in curls. But having her hair straightened does change things up a little bit. Still, I think I’d rather she keep the youthful and very feminine curls. I wonder if I’d be able to carry something like that off without looking crazy. Hahaha. Any one has any tips for hair they can share on how to get Taylor Swift’s curly locks?

Think hair coloring at home is difficult to do? Liese (pronounced: lee-zay) bubble hair dye is here to change your mind about DIY hair coloring. Take a look at their TVC.

But more importantly, it’s the first of its kind in the DIY hair coloring industry. The easy to apply, no-drip formula allows you to DIY your hair without any mess AND achieve an even colour. All you need to do is massage the bubble dye in! With 10 different colours to choose from (I had a hard time picking when they offered the entire range to me), it’s no wonder Liese is the No.1 styling brand in Singapore. It’s also the first brand in the market to carry an entire range of treatment and styling products too!

I personally got to experience the simplicity of being able to transform my hair with their 3 step regime – colour, treatment and styling. Honestly, friends who know me well will attest to the very fact that I am such a quick fix girl. I cant stand sitting long hours in the salon chair but yet yearn for luscious locks like that you see in magazines. Those Japanese girls are too cute! *turns green with envy* But with Liese’s very own colour, treat and styling range, it’s hello gorgeous hair and goodbye long hours sitting in the salon chair! Hooray for easy to achieve lovely hair!

Honestly, everything about Liese is cute. The packaging is cute, the girls are cute and even the acccessories created for them are cute too!

When I went down for the product briefing last week, they gave each blogger this fluffy pink keychain. I immediately took it out of it’s packaging and attached it to my bag cause I love fluffy! But you too can get your hands on this cute little thing if you are the first 200 to click “Like” on their Facebook page chock full of videos and hair styling tips.

Bet you didnt know that Liese has a cocktail for your hair to enjoy. Heehee. I cant wait to tell you about that product. I love it! But you will have to come back to see the home-made video. I’ll be showcasing some Liese hairstyle tutorials in my next Liese post and the hairstyle I’m going to introduce draws on good ol’ techniques I used to use when I danced on stage. Haha. Ahhh.. Such good memories.

In the meantime, while I get the video ready, head on over to the Liese Facebook page to get your Liese charm. PS: You will have to fill up a short form to receive the keychain!

Stay tuned!

Sometimes when we’re swamped with work and don’t have the luxury of indulging in a nice long bath, hair can get oily if not washed for several days. Ive heard that if you don’t shower for 30 days your hair/scalp will start to clean itself. I don’t really know how that works and don’t think anyone would be willing to wait that long to find out if this was true. Haha.

A easier, and much quicker, alternative to keeping your hair matt and oil-free during busy periods is to apply baby powder at the roots of your hair. The powder works to absorb the excess oil from your scalp to keep your hair baby clean!

Dust an appropriate amount on your scalp at the roots, massage gently and then, shake the remaining powder off.

If you choose to use a scented baby powder, not only does your hair get oil-free, you get a hint of a fragrance along with it too!

Remember to thoroughly dust off the excess powder from your head when you’re done though. You don’t want to look like your hair is growing out white! Well, only maybe when you’re trying to look like Einstein.
