So many happenings, like the recent Inter Religious, Inter Racial (IRIR) dinner which the top 5 MSI winners attended, yummy food in the studio – Jelly Hearts and Donut Factory donuts (finally!). I wanted to write about them and post a plethora of pictures, but guess what, it makes things a lot easier now because my computer wiped out all my pictures on my PHONE! BAH! NO MORE PICTURES!

Thank goodness for other cameras even though my narcissistic pictures on my phone are all gone. Boohoo! The makeup artist did a good job with the smoky eyes and it was perfection! Totally my kinda makeup. Of course, I couldnt help but cam-whore with my phone since I looked so good *ahem*. But unfortunately due to technical glitches, I DONT GET TO SHARE THE NARCISSISTIC PICTURES WITH EVERYONE! Haha blessing in disguise or a real pity?

IRIR dinner was rather enjoyable. Held in the Expo over two days, organised by the Thye Hua Kwan Moral Home for the Intellectually Disabled, the MSI Top 5 winners attended the first night and were treated to a sumptuous vegetarian sit down dinner. The event was to promote and bring together people of all races and religion together to witness the beauty of diversity, and promote understanding of the various races and religions. The hall held 5000 people and was graced by His Honour President SR Nathan and his wife. Throughout the night, performances like dances, singing and reading of the religious harmony pledge (or something like that) kept us entertained.

The 4 of us (excluding the Queen of course) thought that we would escape public scrutiny during the event and be able to have a nice relaxed dinner that night. Haha, but given that we were all in heels and our sashes, it was hard not to attract attention. Furthermore, we were moved to the VVIP table after/during the second dish. Well, even then, that didnt stop us from having fun.

Before dinner, at the makeup school. Hair and make up is ALL done for us.
No worries about DIY-ing. After hair and makeup. With one of the “mama-sans” Jenny.

Finally Christabel is done with hair and makeup. Love the red cheong-samy gown.
She had to be clad in a sponsored attire cause her royal duties included that of escorting the President
to the stage and later presenting a token of appreciation to him.

On the way to Expo. Our Queen drives! Haha. Not Dancing Queen, Driving Queen.

The four of us in the backseat.
Ok no lah. But the 4 of us who let our Queen take us where she wanted to, or rather, where she had to go. Haha!

Janine, Hui Ting and me in the backseat.

Taking some time off from her royal duties to cam-whore a bit with us. Haha.

Making funny faces. And these were at the VVIP table mind you! Hahaha. Just next to President SR Nathan.
There were various delegates and important people at our table too. I figured we were the youngest ones there.

I still have a truckload of pictures. Too many pictures! Too little time! Maybe in the next post. And anyway, with regards to my SL post, it was MILD man. Have you seen Mr Brown’s posts (HERE and HERE) on it? HILARIOUS! Totally wicked! Unlike Mr Brown, I dont have that kind stature in the blogosphere to make such comments AND still have support on my side. Creating some great divide in the population wide enough for Moses to walk through it and having to deal with backlash, is not pretty.
Anyway, the comment on the tagboard was LAME too cause in the first place, I NEVER said or insinuated that I was pretty. Sure granted there ARE a few girls on the webby that I thought pretty, but you could count them off with ONE hand. How’s that for a pool of talent that supposed to help you make money?

Whatever man. I dont have the time to waste on trivialities.

Bidding starts soon! And NUS has decided to be kind to me. I am grateful! They’ve “upgraded” me from ARS3 to SOC4. WHOOOOOOOOOO! I am “officially” recognised as an honours student. Hello Level 4 modules! Hello Bahasa Indonesia 3!
Saya pandai sekali karena bisa mengambil banyak module yang tinggi! Hebat ya!
Okay. That was lame.

Gotta go sleep before my nose drops off.
*sniff*

Weather is crap and MY VS JEANS ARE IN SINGAPORE ALREADY! Wo0o0o0o0o0o0o0ot! Oh and I bought new kitten heels too. CHEAP CHEAP! So pretty! I’m shoe obsessed lately.

I have perfect legs. So I’ve been told. HAHA!

And I thank running and dance for it. I like the way my body is right now and I’m gonna KEEP it that way. Ran again for the first time in ages on Saturday. Wait, I must specify, I ran again OUTSIDE in the open for the first time in ages. All those times in the studio barefooted, doing running variations like knees to your chest, mini jetes and side gallops dont count! Twas a humid Saturday as it rained just hours before. I put on my running shoes (kindly sponsored my Sportiv during the pageant) that the EACH finalist got to bring home after the finals and started to go where my feet would take me.

Collected my prizes for MSI today. A bunch of vouchers which I have to exchange for my real prizes! Whooooo! $500 worth of Hilly products (leather no less). $175 worth of Arena products (hello Bikinis! hello beach!). Orlane cosmetics, fragrances and skincare worth $500 (hello nice smelling beautiful skin!). 6 cans of Tiger Beer and 8 mugs (hello raving parties!) and an entire bag full of Bio-essence skin care products – eye bag vanishing serum, radiant youth essence, skin white revitalising exfoliator, face lifting cream, deep nourishing toner and deep cleanser (hello beautiful skin AGAIN!). WAH! I feel so pampered all of a sudden.

Now Im going to go sleep.

OH. I GOT MYSELF A NEW TOY TOOOOOO! Hoooooo! Watch out in the coming spaces to see what it is.

Although the Miss Singapore International 2007 pageant wasnt very highly publicised before the finals, the finals itself did manage to make it to a local newspaper – Shin Min Daily News to be exact. And it wasnt just some small obscure corner that we graced; it was half the entire page with HUGE pictures of the Top 3 (me included *giggle*) in our purple sponsored swimwear. LOL. I think I look fugly though. Bwahaha! No English coverage though, weird. Or maybe not so soon.

Top 5 winners. With our Chinese names printed in the caption. Haha!

It was Friday the 13th. The second this year. But it was the last time for this batch of 18 girls of the Miss Singapore International 2007 to face off.

From 18 they chose the top 5 and then crowned the winner.

And I came in Third! Wahahaha! With a subsidary award – Miss Body Beautiful.

I know I havent been updating. But the entire week has been packed with rehearsals for the finals and DAP assessment and rushing about to and fro from casting to filming to MORE rehearsals. To make it all up, I shall SPAM you with MILLIONS of pictures from the night of the finals held at Raffles Town Club. I didnt even get to post a pre-finals post. Bah. All those who were present had to buy tickets and each seat (CHEAPEST HOR) cost 120 buckaroos. There was no WAY I was gonna get any of you guys to pay to watch. So anyway, you’ll just have to make-do with the visuals I got from my camera, Jen’s camera, dad’s camera and some of the other girls’ camera.

WARNING: Image heavy.

It’s been a quiet all long on my blog cause we were busy preparing for the finals for Miss Singapore International. Hectic just doesnt describe it.

The finals were today and I got crowned…

2nd Runner Up and Miss Body Beautiful!

Hahahaha! Blog more when Im rested and recharged.

BIG thanks to the lovelies (Liza, Jen, Qiao Wei) who came down to support me.
Also to those who remembered and wished me luck all the way.
PLUS, those who wanted to come and support me but couldnt cause the tickets were waaaaaaaaay out of budget.

Of course, how can I forget my WONDERFUL parents who were rooting for me every step of the way. Their unfailing love was my pillar of strength. And the boyfriend who helped me with the QnA and also in more ways than one.

Much much love. I love y’all.
