Shu Uemura Autum/Winter 2010

Everytime I walk past the Shu Uemura counters, I cant help but notice a blast of colour on their poster for the latest Fall 2010 release. The colours on the poster are as eye-catching as they are stunning. The newest Florescent collection certainly lives up to its name.

Remember how I said purples are in this Fall 2010? Well, Shu Uemura does the purples beautifully and brings it to a whole new level putting in greens, gold, pinks and reds into the mix. Inspired by the beauty of  colourful flower petals, its no surprise the colours in this range remind me of a fully bloomed lush garden.

Two palettes are released for this Autum/Winter season. The Shu Uemura Graceful Bloom Palette consists of purple pressed eye shadow, cream eye shadow-liner and a pink cream cheek rouge, while the warmer Dreamy Petal Palette packs soft pinks, red lips and a stunning gold/brown liner.

While autumn usually conjures images of gold, red, brown leaves strewn everywhere indicating the impending blanket of white, Shu Uemura surprises me by injecting a burst of colour into their Fall palettes. The Graceful Bloom Palette and Dreamy Petal Palette kinda remind me of spring with it’s floral inspiration, but it really doesnt matter. Fans of Shu Uemura will probably still get their hands on this pretty palette because you can never have too many pretty make up palettes.
