Winning Moments

Sponsored Post

With my very busy schedule both before and after Miss Singapore Universe, I’ve always believed in rewarding myself for everything I do. Taking time off to indulge in the little things that make me happy keeps me going despite the constant madness.

Dove Chocolate Singapore

Back when I was studying, chocolate was always a constant companion through the late nights, sky-high notes and endless assignments. It reminded me to focus on myself after all the effort I’ve put in through the night. I always celebrated the end of a textbook chapter or finishing an assignment with a little piece of dark velvety goodness.

Dove Chocolate

Break off one little piece of silky-smooth Dove Chocolate each time you complete an
assignment to reward your success and indulge in the rich texture in your mouth. It is a
perfect companion for my me-moments. Just like me, whether you’re out winning medals, finishing projects, hitting the gym twice a week or even just managing to clean your room, spend a little me-time and indulge yourself, because it’s your life and you deserve the best.

Charmed by Saint Paul

Miss Universe Sao Paulo Brasil

Sao Paulo, Portuguese for Saint Paul, is a city that will charm you the moment you set foot into it. From the vast showrooms and warehouses that peppered the dark streets the night we first traveled to the Hilton from the airport, to the stately Brasil flag that flew on its mast, the graffiti laden walls and impressive buildings, there’s a sort of sleepy yet romantic charm about the Sao Paulo city that captures your attention regardless of where you divert it.

The highways make like distinguished men and politely pass each other with a slight nod of the head. Morning traffic at 830am doesn’t seem to be as hectic or traumatic as a peak period should be. In fact, traffic has been smooth to all our destinations perhaps because Sao Paulo is so big. Despite our daily travels and escapades, we’ve really barely scratched the surface of this enchanting city. I’m definite Sao Paulo will continue to charm and amaze us in the coming weeks as things continue to pick up.

Despite this calm, made even more conspicuous in the veil of the rain and an overcast sky today, the energy of the Brasilian people is a stark contrast to the city. Like a strong heartbeat, the Brasilian people are steady and vibrant. Both Samba and football are perfect examples of this brilliant energy. One cannot help but want to dance when in the presence of either. We witnessed the energy embodied in the cheering in the Museu Do Futebol (Football Museum) and Samba lessons at Sociedade Rosas De Ouro. These two experiences were nothing short of fun, excitement and non-stop movement. The colours, buzz of the music and people are infectious and though it’s only been a week, we’ve only about 2 over weeks to the finals on September 12th. Time sure flies.

Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paulo Brasil

Miss Universe 2011

It’s been a week since we’ve been here at the Hilton in Sao Paulo Brasil. After a week of shoots, us girls got to go out this week and party it up. We’ve done cooking classes, met the govenor of Sao Paulo and experienced the spirit of Brasil by getting Samba lessons! Samba is waaaayyy harder than it looks but it’s sooooo much fun. I can see where all the Samba dancers get their fit and toned bodies from. I’m so jealous that I want to stay longer and get good at it!

My Favourite Foam

Sponsored Post

What’s white, fluffy, super smooth and bouncy all at the same time?

Foam. Yes, foam.

I’m sure you’re quite familiar with foam and you’ll easily find foam in all sorts of various foams/forms. (Foam, form, geddit geddit?) Lol! Anyway, let me introduce you a few of my favourite foams and why I love them.

Coffee Foam

You’ll know good foam is important in coffee art. It needs to be firm yet bouncy so it can retain its shape. At the same time it needs to be smooth so it slides easily off the spoon and easily down your throat. You can see how being ultra fine is highly crucial in maintaining a velvety texture over longer periods of time.

Whipped Cream

Ahhh… Whipped cream is another sort of foam that I really like. It’s hard to resist whipped cream because it’s never fails to tantalise your senses being so light and airy. Smooth to the touch, fun to play with, you just want to spread this foamy goodness on everything!

Foamy

Even when I’m ingesting foam, I’d like to admire its outward appearance.  It’s imperative that my favourite type of foam is smooth to the touch, bouncy yet retains its shape and is super fine but dense. I have one more favourite foam I haven’t told you about which meets the above mentioned criterias.

Want to hazard a guess what it is? It’s also soft, bouncy, smells absolutely yummy-licious, has great consistency and is good for my skin! Make a guess what it is!

Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen

Sponsored Review

Giveaway is closed. Winners and all participants have been emailed.

We all know the benefits of collagen. Collagen is a naturally occurring substance that keeps our skin firm, elastic and bouncy. But over time, the production of collagen slows down and the sun’s rays damage and hastens the skin’s aging process. Without our natural collagen replenishing what has been prematurely taken away, signs of aging such as fine lines and sunken skin quickly show up, adding years to our age.

But collagen itself is not just for aging skin. As a young adult, collagen is needed for healthy nails, hair and joints. Honestly, just watching how the young Japanese girls take care of themselves and incorporate collagen drinks in their daily routine, I think I want to start taking better care of myself too. Like the old saying goes, prevention is better than cure.

Research has shown that only small molecular collagen peptides can be fully absorbed and effectively utilized by our body. Now that we know this important trivia, what can we do to best increase the amount of collagen in our bodies?

Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen

Most of the time we resort to applying collagen to our skin surfaces, but the most effective way of delivering collagen to our bodies is through consumption. That’s where the Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen comes in. Made of pure marine collagen of 3000 daltons, the perfect molecular weight for human body, your body will definitely absorb up to 99% of the Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen that you consume. But not only will the collagen you ingest keep your skin moisturized from the inside, the Vitamin C present in this powerful but convenient packet gives an added benefit of promoting the synthesis of collagen! That, for sure is gonna leave you with long-term anti-aging benefits.

Just as the collagen is pure marine collagen from fish, the Vitamin C and delicious blueberry, lemon & mango flavour of the Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen are all natural and contain no preservatives. Eating the collagen straight from the packet, I swear it’s as though you’re eating candy. Just a really healthy, fruity collageny one. Yay for healthy goodness everyday!

But it doesnt stop there, probiotics complex, a combination of beneficial bacteria that balances the intestinal microflora is present in the Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen. When the intestinal micoflora is well-balanced, it boosts the absorption of collagen and Vitamin C you ingest! How’s that for efficiency? Having probiotics present doubles the effectiveness of anti-ageing and anti-oxidants, resulting in radiant and healthy skin.

Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen

Some might say that adding the presence of collagen in your daily diet is difficult and troublesome, but the individual stick packets make it fuss-free and travel friendly. I’m definitely going to pack some in my luggage to keep my skin moisturised in the next few weeks. But what really saves me time is the fact that you dont have to spend those extra precious minutes in the morning making yourself a drink because you can eat the collagen straight from the packet!

Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen

Okay, you’re supposed to open the packet first, and then you can enjoy the yummy goodness inside.

Try out the benefits of Avalon Japanese Fish collagen yourself! You can redeem a free sample of the Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen just by clicking “Like” on their Facebook page or get a full size box of Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen just by filling in this puzzle!

The Avalon Japanese Fish Collagen comes in ______________, ________________ and ____________ flavours. It contains Vitamin _____ and _____________ complex to give me radiant and healthy skin!

You know I love doing giveaways because I think everyone deserves a shot at trying out the good things in life.
