When boys are the problem, who has the solution? Girlfriends of course! When a girl is heartbroken or has secrets to share, who does she turn to? Her best girlfriend of course. Because no one gets you like your BFF does.

I’ve been blessed with some of the best girlfriends. I trust them with decisions big and small, stories and tales of all sorts especially when it comes to boys. Whether it’s a current squeeze, a lost love or just some annoying twerp trying his luck, my girlfriends know it all! Haha. In fact, I think they would be the best people to write the chronicles of my boy-scapades.
And someone has done exactly just that. Well, no, not chronicle my heartbreaks. But someone has cleverly put all our girly stories into a fun musical! It’s time to bring the girls out, leave the boys at home and indulge in taking the mickey out of opposite gender. Who says girls don’t talk about boys? Hahaha. Admit it, we talk about them. A LOT.

Girl Talk the Musical, an off-Broadway musical hit, is now in Singapore! With the original cast all the way from Broadway, it’s a definite must-watch with your girlfriends whether you’re single or attached. Stories, jokes and the occasional boy-bashing are just part and parcel of any girl conversation. Normally done in private, us girls are now banding together and bonding publicly, sharing stories of sex, booze and men. On top of that, they discuss practically anything under the sun: Botox, unwanted hair, ovulation etc. Because with your best girlfriends you can!
The stories and lives of the three leads in Girl Talk are so easily relatable and you’ll most certainly be laughing, pointing and nodding in agreement to their jokes. The plot is set in the final broadcast of radio show Girl Talk after 10 years, and the 3 very different women, Barbara, Dr Laura and Janice, are set to end things with a bang!
Barbara’s an eccentric lady who’s menopausing and being anything but cranky, and soon to be booted outta the show. Janice is little Miss Perfect, leads a blissfully perfect life, and is about to host her own radio show. Dr Laura, the rambunctious sexpert, on the other hand, is a frequent guest on the show, and she can give you a tip or 2 on how to do a *cough* mouth Macarena!
If you’re worried about the upcoming Valentine’s Day, dont be. It isn’t just a day for couples. It’s a day for lovers and sometimes I think I would better off being in a relationship with my girls. So fosure I’m taking them to watch Girl Talk the Musical with me! I’m making a date with them.
The bunch of us are going to be getting a discount because quoting “GIRLFRIENDS” when you buy your tickets gets you 15% off the regular price. What more could a girl ask for? A great time with my favourite girls and an awesome discount! My BFF Liza is probably the best person to tell you about the perks of an all girl gathering. She and I have had one too many run-ins when we go out. Hahaha. Girlfriends are definitely forever. Just like diamonds.
So grab your feather boas, best heels and get ready to party and move to all the fun and catchy tunes of Girl Talk. I’ll see you there at Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel Singapore girlies!
