I blame the OPI Burlesque Collection from Winter Holiday 2010 for getting me started on this glitter obsession. After purchasing my first two bottles of OPI nail polish from the Burlesque Collection, I decided I couldnt live with just two bottles of pretty. I wanted more.
It was, thus, with the greatest pleasure that I ordered Sparkle-icious and Show it and Glow It to add to my minimalistic collection of 2 OPI nail polishes: Bring on the Bling and Simmer and Shimmer. There are a total of 6 polishes in the OPI Burlesque Collection, but green and orange arent really my thing. It was only natural that I gave the last 2 OPI nail polishes in the collection, Glow Up Already and Extra-Va-Ganza, a miss.

I will not lie to you. I am delighted to own these gorgeous polishes. They are obscenely glittery and make me insanely happy. I honestly cant decide which of the four I own is my favourite. They all put a glint in my eye each time I look at them. Sparkle-icious, the multi-coloured glitter is a brilliant burst of gold, blue and magenta on your nails. It’s a confetti party on your fingers!
All the OPI nail polishes in this Burlesque collection are perfect for glitter gradient nails. But here’s another use I discovered for glitter nail polishes: glitter french tips. Unlike the conventional french tips, glitter french tips add a bit of a razzle dazzle to your manicure. They’re also way easier to apply than white tips because you never have to worry about making a mistake. I layered Show It and Glow It (magenta and silver glitter) over a pale pink base, before topping it off with a nail sticker, for a sweet and girly manicure!
