Eye Liner

If there’s one thing I love about doing What’s In My Make Up Bag is the fact that I get to document my make up stash. What with 2011 around the corner, it’s always good to do a stock take of my make up items before deciding to add anymore to my basic make up essential stash. When it comes to eye liners, I’m proud to say that they are not something I buy all the time. Although there are different types of eye liners to choose from (pencil, gel and liquid), I can safely say my all time favourite has to be gel eyeliners. The two I currently own are, in my opinion, the best gel eyeliners in the market.

Eyeliner

1. Kate Eyeliner Pencil in Black
2. Maybelline Expert Eyes Soft Kohl Eye Pencil in Black
3. H&M Eye Pen in White
4. Revlon Bedroom Eyes Powder Liner in Sultry Sapphire
5. L’OREAL Super Liner in Black
6. Kate Gel Eyeliner in Black
7. Gino McCray Auto Eyebrow & Eyeliner Pencil
8. M.A.C Eye Kohl in Smolder
9. Urban Decay Ink for Eyes Cream Eyeliner in Demolition
10. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencils in Electric

It’s probably a good idea to have a mix of all three sorts of eye liner types to create varying definitions in your make up looks. I probably need to beef up my liquid eye liner collection so yes, I definitely need to find my tokidoki Perfetto Eyeliner. Bah!

Love your makeup posts! :) I haven’t tried most of the eyeliners mentioned up there but may I know which are your top 3 eyeliners? You should do a post on your fave makeup products of 2010! :D

By the way do you know where I can purchase moroccan oil in Singapore?

Makeup fan: Awwww thanks! I’m glad you like my make up posts. I think my top 3 favourite eyeliners would have to be Loreal Super Liner in Black/tokidoki Perfetto Eyeliner, Kate Gel Eyeliner and Urban Decay Ink for Eyes Cream Eyeliner. Try them out! I’m not too sure where to get moroccan oil in Singapore though. Sorry!

i’ve got shaky hands and oily eyelids, what eyeliner should i use? currently using pencil, but it still smudges and i can’t do pointy tips with them.

Steph: I think gel might work for you. Because so far the testimony of ppl who use gel liners stay it has a longer staying power. I have oily lids and it does last longer. If it doesnt, maybe you can try using an eyeshadow primer or pat a similar shade eyeshadow over the eyeliner to make it last :) Hope this helps!
