Have I ever mentioned how much I prefer to stay at home during the festive holidays? It’s not that I dont like holidays see. But whenever the festive holidays come around, all the big make up brands push out new collections in pretty packaging concealing gorgeous colours. When their eyeshadow palettes are all fancy and pretty, that spells trouble for a make up junkie like me.
Just after I wrote about the Bobbi Brown Denim and Rose palette, I of course, had to get it. It wasnt easy as it was sold out when I first inquired, but I managed to land the gorgeous palette while out having dinner one day. And then you already heard about MAC newest A Tartan Tale Holiday Collection 2010. I hyperventilated when I saw them in stores. The collection is stunning.
So you see my point? I hate it when it comes to the holidays because my wallet cries desperately for help. But I must say that the beautiful eyeshadow palettes only adds to the visual spectacle that is my make up box. I swear they get prettier all the time, and the fact that eye shadows are part of the basic make up must have just gives me all the more excuse reason to buy them!

Here are some beautiful eyeshadow palettes I’ve acquired over the years:
1. Bobbi Brown Denim and Rose palette
2. Maquillage X Alexander Wang 3D Eye Creator
3. Majolica Majorca Mignight Girly Makeup Dresser
4. Too Faced Smoky Eye Shadow Collection
5. Majolica Majorca Trick On Palette
6. MAC A Tartan Tale Reelers & Rockers Eye Shadow
7. MAC Royal Assets Smokey eyeshadow palette

I spot the MJ dresser!
I’ve never heard of Maquillage X Alexander Wang 3D Eye Creator… what does it do? Sounds so interesting!
nadnut: Yes! The MJ Dresser is from you! (:
Ju Ann: Oh the Maquillage X Alexander Wang 3D Eye Creator came out quite a while ago already! It’s supposed to give your eyes a more 3D deep set effect. Very pretty pigments!
I am digging the silver tin for the MAC Royal Assets. It really is the packaging that makes the makeup, isn’t it? I so often find myself buying makeup not because I need the colors, but because the packaging so thoroughly gorgeous!
Alexandra Dare: Yes! I love the MAC Royal Assets too. Too gorgeous packaging. Have to agree that it’s the packaging that makes the make up. It’s so hard to resist the make up when it looks like an accessory!
