Sean Kingston Showcase in Singapore!

Hello hello! This is a “live” report from your two lovely roving reporters!

This is Val and Liza. All ready and glam-ed up to bring you the latest happenings from MOS!

Goodness knows that Sean Kingston (singer of “Beautiful Girls”) came to this little sunny side of the world.

We didnt know either, until Marie said she had passes which her mummy gave her. And she kindly offered us one each! Thanks babe!

The thing was at 7ish. And would last till about 10. So we were told. On a Tuesday night. At MOS.
I mean, WHO CLUBS AT 8PM IN THE EVENING ON A TUESDAY NIGHT?!

Well, guess what. We did. Haha. Sean Kingston’s first gig in Singapore!

Liza and I had dinner prior to reaching MOS. We arrived at 8ish (being glamourously late yo) and were immediately greeted by screaming fans. Sean Kingston was already on stage and belting out goodness-knows-what-song.

IS THE BLACK BLOB SEAN KINGSTON?! Unfortunately not. It was just a bouncer. False alarm.

THIS is the real dope yo. The one in the bright orange top.

The place was rather packed. But the atmosphere was downright dull. No one was hyped up as we thought they would be; there was most definitely a lack of an electric buzz. Marie and Zafirah were already in the club so we cam-whored since we were all looking fab yo.

Liza, Val.
Marie, Zaf.

The event was organised in conjunction with Sony Ericsson and we all got “banded” once we gained entry.

Bands reminiscent of it’s predecessor Lance Armstrong yellow ones.

Liza and I decide that we like clubbing because some guy offered us free MOS memberships while we were queueing to get in. HAHAHA. Awesome! However, that was the only perk of the night. That’s of course, besides seeing Marie and Zaf again.

The showcase by Mr I-love-Beautiful-Girls was, all right. Dull perhaps. Music wasnt that bad, but I guess the under 18′s dont know how to let their hair down! Or perhaps it was the lack of alcohol. HAHA! It might have helped if there were some backup dancers on stage who were pulling cool moves. But sadly, there were none. Only 2 other blobs besides Sean Kingston himself were on stage, singing to entertain the very unenthusiastic crowd.

The only time I felt that anyone got excited was when they were told to pull their mobile phones out and wave them macham at rock concert. See the motion blur?

We were high on…..

Our non-alcoholic drinks. ORANGE JUICE!

Marie and Zaf and her 2 friends slutting it up with the drinks. Coke. No really. Just normal coke.

With the purple tickets.

The event ended at a very unglamourous timing of 845pm. We were stuck for a bit. NOW WHAT WERE WE GOING TO DO. Haha. See, this bunch of mad-cap dancers were used to entering clubs at timings way past these under 18′s bedtimes.

We are old la okay.

845 was a leeeetle early for us. But obviously that wasnt going to stop us.

The DJ spun some really great tracks and we took to the dance floor for a few minutes. These beauuuuuteeefuulll girls show how to have fun even without alco!

Other random shots of the dance floor.

These people enjoy going round in circles on the moving platform. Madness.

Breaking boys on the dance floor!

Ahhh.. Our job here is done. It’s 915pm, barely an hour since we first stepped into the area. And we’ve pretty much documented all you need to know that’s happening in the Singapore night life scene. Tis time for a much-needed commercial.

This is Liza and Val signing off. We’re gonna go have some ice-cream now yo.
