I finally watched Transformers today with THB, who was watching it for the SECOND time. And I must say, yes it’s totally “a-watch-more-than-once” show. Well, not solely for the purpose of Megan Fox and her taut, lithe fake-tanned body but because for one, I thought the storyline was concise; it had a good introduction and the end was nicely played out. Two, the graphics were amazing. Three, the transformations were astounding and the robots were very detailed. What I didnt like however, was how the scenes changed so quickly and there were always blinding lights from the screen whenever the Transformers were destroying human architecture or destroying each other. Seriously, what was the purpose of DESTROYING everything even when it posed no threat? Even the good guys did it. Pffft. I highly think it was because they were much BIG and clumsy. Haha.

I wanted to marvel at the wonderfully worked details of the Autobots and Decepticons, but the flashing lights were too much too take. Maybe I should have brought sunglasses to the theatre. Also, I didnt exactly like how they made the robots uptake human habits, ie. they talked about the World Wide Web and Ebay which was funny but somehow, duh at the same time. But other than the above two mentioned, I have no other gripes about the show.

Megan Fox didnt look as hot as I thought she would. I cant believe I had to ask THB at one point if the girl on screen was Megan Fox. Haha! I’d heard rave reviews before I watched the show about the hot female lead and went to Google her name for pictures. These were the few that I found that put the idea in my head that the female lead would be jaw-droppingly good-looking.

Those light blue eyes! The pout! The tattoo on her pelvic area!
SO HOT LA.

But when I was finally enlightened that the girl who had dirt and grime on her face was the hot babe I had been waiting for, I was sorely disappointed. Well, okay there were some scenes where she was quite hot. Like the ending, when she was trying to get Bumble Bee hooked up to the truck and tow him away, she had her hair up in a pony tail and I thought “Hey, okay. She looks pretty good in this scene.” Maybe it’s the hair, y’know. I think she looks better as a brunette rather than with black hair. So it was the last few parts that made me sit up and say, “She’s pretty cute.”

However, this was probably the highlight of the entire show, especially for the testosterone laden species.

The scene where she was bent over fiddling with the engine. It got temperatures and body parts rising in unison. Haha! It was definitely a scene tailored specially for her to show off her tight abs and spray on tan body. Haha. But I really dont get the obviously fake tan body and PARTICULARLY the dirty grimy face man. Very hot meh!? Sweaty hot maybe. Eh girl, you need facial wash not? Better wash your face if not wait your pores clog up and you get outbreak! If not then use facial blotter and blot the oil off first. Hahaha!

Ok lah. I enjoyed the show very much and thought the animations rocked. I was incredibly awed by the magnificence of the Transformers that I couldnt even show signs of surprise or exhilaration. Hee. Watch again or buy DVD? Definitely.

Now I wanna watch The Simpsons, Hairspray and Ratatouille. The little grey fella reminds me of Tau Huay. So cute and fluffy!

So many happenings, like the recent Inter Religious, Inter Racial (IRIR) dinner which the top 5 MSI winners attended, yummy food in the studio – Jelly Hearts and Donut Factory donuts (finally!). I wanted to write about them and post a plethora of pictures, but guess what, it makes things a lot easier now because my computer wiped out all my pictures on my PHONE! BAH! NO MORE PICTURES!

Thank goodness for other cameras even though my narcissistic pictures on my phone are all gone. Boohoo! The makeup artist did a good job with the smoky eyes and it was perfection! Totally my kinda makeup. Of course, I couldnt help but cam-whore with my phone since I looked so good *ahem*. But unfortunately due to technical glitches, I DONT GET TO SHARE THE NARCISSISTIC PICTURES WITH EVERYONE! Haha blessing in disguise or a real pity?

IRIR dinner was rather enjoyable. Held in the Expo over two days, organised by the Thye Hua Kwan Moral Home for the Intellectually Disabled, the MSI Top 5 winners attended the first night and were treated to a sumptuous vegetarian sit down dinner. The event was to promote and bring together people of all races and religion together to witness the beauty of diversity, and promote understanding of the various races and religions. The hall held 5000 people and was graced by His Honour President SR Nathan and his wife. Throughout the night, performances like dances, singing and reading of the religious harmony pledge (or something like that) kept us entertained.

The 4 of us (excluding the Queen of course) thought that we would escape public scrutiny during the event and be able to have a nice relaxed dinner that night. Haha, but given that we were all in heels and our sashes, it was hard not to attract attention. Furthermore, we were moved to the VVIP table after/during the second dish. Well, even then, that didnt stop us from having fun.

Before dinner, at the makeup school. Hair and make up is ALL done for us.
No worries about DIY-ing. After hair and makeup. With one of the “mama-sans” Jenny.

Finally Christabel is done with hair and makeup. Love the red cheong-samy gown.
She had to be clad in a sponsored attire cause her royal duties included that of escorting the President
to the stage and later presenting a token of appreciation to him.

On the way to Expo. Our Queen drives! Haha. Not Dancing Queen, Driving Queen.

The four of us in the backseat.
Ok no lah. But the 4 of us who let our Queen take us where she wanted to, or rather, where she had to go. Haha!

Janine, Hui Ting and me in the backseat.

Taking some time off from her royal duties to cam-whore a bit with us. Haha.

Making funny faces. And these were at the VVIP table mind you! Hahaha. Just next to President SR Nathan.
There were various delegates and important people at our table too. I figured we were the youngest ones there.

I still have a truckload of pictures. Too many pictures! Too little time! Maybe in the next post. And anyway, with regards to my SL post, it was MILD man. Have you seen Mr Brown’s posts (HERE and HERE) on it? HILARIOUS! Totally wicked! Unlike Mr Brown, I dont have that kind stature in the blogosphere to make such comments AND still have support on my side. Creating some great divide in the population wide enough for Moses to walk through it and having to deal with backlash, is not pretty.
Anyway, the comment on the tagboard was LAME too cause in the first place, I NEVER said or insinuated that I was pretty. Sure granted there ARE a few girls on the webby that I thought pretty, but you could count them off with ONE hand. How’s that for a pool of talent that supposed to help you make money?

Whatever man. I dont have the time to waste on trivialities.

Bidding starts soon! And NUS has decided to be kind to me. I am grateful! They’ve “upgraded” me from ARS3 to SOC4. WHOOOOOOOOOO! I am “officially” recognised as an honours student. Hello Level 4 modules! Hello Bahasa Indonesia 3!
Saya pandai sekali karena bisa mengambil banyak module yang tinggi! Hebat ya!
Okay. That was lame.

Gotta go sleep before my nose drops off.
*sniff*

Weather is crap and MY VS JEANS ARE IN SINGAPORE ALREADY! Wo0o0o0o0o0o0o0ot! Oh and I bought new kitten heels too. CHEAP CHEAP! So pretty! I’m shoe obsessed lately.

Okay. I havent been updating about dance and/or DAP ever since I moved here. Yes, I know. It’s become more or less a routine and sometimes it feels as though we’ve become so jaded. There’s nothing ELSE to write about save for the regular classes that we attend every week. There are the new jumps we learn try to battle and grasp within a few short minutes each weekday tech class, but that’s just part and parcel of the entire syllabus. We’ve got axle jumps, double attitude jumps, my favourite grande jetes, jumps in second and a whole host of other jumps I cant spell because they’re in French. And you can only go forward yes? Apparently not.

I crashed in tech class yesterday. And I mean it literally. I crashed into the floor. Not once, not twice, but countless times. Especially on my left. Because my muscles on the entire right side of my body are screwed. So screwed and whacked out of sync, I cant control them no more. They’re all bunched up and tight and I CANT PULL UP! BAH! What a great way to start the intensive two months of rehearsals. I wanted to die on the spot right then.

The introduction of the upcoming grad show has got us in a state of flurry, trying to organise and get the show going and obviously, trying to get better that VERY bit more, so we wont look like a bunch of loseurs on stage. The planning stage is no easy feat since there’s only 10 of us now. From a batch of 15, we’ve lost people due mostly to commitments, and now we’re at 10. 10 have to plan the budget. 10 have to conceptualise the entire story. 10 have do the posters and promotional activities. 10 have to do costumes. 10 have to schedule rehearsals. And of course, most importantly, 10 have to dance. Time is limited and scheduling is tight. But rehearsals have started (finally!) and that’s ONE load off our minds.

16 items, 10 dancers. Some have called us crazy. Some have said we’re doing the impossible. Others have given up on us. But we call it passion. We’ll pull through twisted ankles, aching muscles, disjointed hips, injured toes, bear the cold of the studio and put up with late nights, just so the show will go on. 9 minutes of sit ups each week, 4 hours of dance a day, 10 dancers, 1 show. It’s gonna be one hell of a ride for the next few months.

HELLO JUNK FOOD. HELLO CUP NOODLES. HELLO HONG KONG CAFE. HAHAHA!

Oh did I mention school’s starting soon too? CORS is a bitch.

HELLO HONOURS STUDENT.

PS: Im selling a bunch of BRAND NEW authentic Bourjois makeup HERE at discounted rates. CLICKY!

After getting Steven Lim’s MODEL link from Fen’s MSN nick. I couldnt stop laughing for a good God-knows-how-long. Twas hilarious! And good things must be shared and we all could use a good laugh now and then. MODEL LEY! PREPOSTEROUS! I cant believe it. When I first heard it ages ago, I was appalled. Of all the good people in the world, Mr Yellow Underpants! But now, to truly see it with my own two eyes. I wanted to die.

I shared the link with my other girlfriends and they agreed it was crap (to put it mildly). Liza’s response was classic and I loved it! MUAHAHAHA!

In my opinion, the site was terrible. Wait, you want my honest and unbridled remarks? IT WAS EFFED UP.
1) The pictures were HORRENDOUS. Badly taken, no proper lighting. BAD MAKEUP. NO STUDIO! And LAME poses.
2) The comments and profile for each so-called model was poorly written in half past six English. And it REEKED of LAMENESS. Were the comments called for in the first place?

Calvin is a extremely handsome cute young man..He has no girlfriend now too n he is looking for a serious girlfriend..Great for all events including modeling

Hui Huang is very cute girl. Keeping some baby fat on the face, she looks an adorable chipmunk which keeps smiling. All events!

Bao Zhen is such a sweet cutie! Her face like one of the members of 5566. (5566 are GUYS?!) Good for all events including modeling.

I dont know whether to laugh or cry for the people who allowed themselves to be publicly ridiculed. But hey, if they’re really getting jobs from having badly taken pictures of themselves posing in front of some lame brown wall, then well, I’d say he’s found a new formula for promoting models. Maybe all modeling agencies should start saving cost and NOT invest in a good photographer and a good studio and just make all their models pose in front of some brown marble wall. Oh did I forget to mention LAME, act cute poses?

My goodness. He’s somehow managed to outdo himself no MATTER what he does. There’s been a spate of attention given to our dear Mr Yellow Underpants recently because of the Top 7 most Disgusting Bloggers list generated not too long ago. And it may seem like Im jumping on the bandwagon dissing him, but it just so happens, I HAVE GRIPES AGAINST PEOPLE WHO USE THE MODEL LABEL AND FLAGRANTLY TREAT IT LIKE SOME WHORE. I’ve done shoots and runway, but I dont call myself a model! Who are these people who have been picked up from the streets to call themselves a MODEL when you have yet to appear in the fashion pages of Style or ELLE? The line has been blurred and everyone’s a MODEL these days. BAH! Maybe this checklist will help.

Do you
1.) go for castings every other day?
2.) or have you done fashion runway shows?
3.) appear in the pages of a fashion magazine? And NO, I dont mean some obscure corner with a comment or remark on some topic. But a 5 page spread of you clad in some branded clothing.
4.) have a BMI that’s waaaaaaaay below the average? (I understand there’s the ban where models cannot have a BMI of 18 or less. But still you should be on the verge of anorexia before you’re considered a model.)
5.) eat, breath, sleep castings and photoshoots?
6.) wear sunglasses everytime you go out because the sun’s too bright and you’re scared everyone’s going to recognise you? PLUS, the flash of the photographer’s ALWAYS hurts your eyes.
7.) totter about in 4 inch high heels WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL?
8.) have legs that go on forever? It seems as though you’re completely legs and no torso.
9.) have a portfolio with NICE glossy pictures where makeup IS DONE BY PROFESSIONALS?

If you answered 6 or more YES to the above, CONGRATULATIONS, YOU ARE CONSIDERED A MODEL.
PS: Most questions applicable to female models ONLY. Male models should apply to Men’s Folio and score a COVER page. HAHA!

Unfortunately, there are only a select few whom I recognise as models. And THB is one of them.

THB and I had the privilege of being a couple in front of the camera today. Back to good ol’ Sports Pageant days. Muahaha! The new batch of Pageant-ees were having their photoshoot today and I was lucky that the photographer allowed me to intrude and go down for a look-see. He later said that he wanted to shoot THB and I. His offer came at an incredible time because it’s almost been a year since we first met at the Pageant shoot last year.

Two shots of me.

This picture shows why I got Miss Body Beautiful! Haha! I was totally surprised man!

I like this shot the best. FIERCE!

Hoooooo! More exciting things coming up! Wo0ot!

I have perfect legs. So I’ve been told. HAHA!

And I thank running and dance for it. I like the way my body is right now and I’m gonna KEEP it that way. Ran again for the first time in ages on Saturday. Wait, I must specify, I ran again OUTSIDE in the open for the first time in ages. All those times in the studio barefooted, doing running variations like knees to your chest, mini jetes and side gallops dont count! Twas a humid Saturday as it rained just hours before. I put on my running shoes (kindly sponsored my Sportiv during the pageant) that the EACH finalist got to bring home after the finals and started to go where my feet would take me.

Collected my prizes for MSI today. A bunch of vouchers which I have to exchange for my real prizes! Whooooo! $500 worth of Hilly products (leather no less). $175 worth of Arena products (hello Bikinis! hello beach!). Orlane cosmetics, fragrances and skincare worth $500 (hello nice smelling beautiful skin!). 6 cans of Tiger Beer and 8 mugs (hello raving parties!) and an entire bag full of Bio-essence skin care products – eye bag vanishing serum, radiant youth essence, skin white revitalising exfoliator, face lifting cream, deep nourishing toner and deep cleanser (hello beautiful skin AGAIN!). WAH! I feel so pampered all of a sudden.

Now Im going to go sleep.

OH. I GOT MYSELF A NEW TOY TOOOOOO! Hoooooo! Watch out in the coming spaces to see what it is.
